Membership Information

The WA Superyacht Cluster is a registered non-profit organisation formed in August 2006 to market the WA Superyacht, manufacturing, maintenance and services industry overseas, primarily to increase superyacht visitation to WA ports.

Objectives of the Association

The objectives of the Cluster are:

  • To form a single organisation to represent the joint interests of the W.A. superyacht construction, refit, repair and ancillary services industry.
  • To represent the W.A. superyacht industry at, and be affiliated with, national organisations that support and promote the Australian industry.
  • To work with relevant Federal, State and Local Government regulatory and other agencies to address any concerns affecting the operation, growth and development of the industry in W.A.
  • To promote the interests of the W.A. superyacht industry within Australia and overseas.
  • To encourage superyachts to visit W.A. ports and utilise member services & facilities.
  • To promote W.A. as a tourism destination for superyachts.

Organisational Arrangements

The W.A Superyacht Cluster will be a registered non-profit organisation under the (WA) Associations Incorporations Act 1984.  Under this act the Association may only undertake activities for the benefit of members as a group and there is no distribution of any profits or surplus to members.  Other features of the Cluster are:

  • The business of the Cluster is controlled by the Management Committee on behalf of the members. 
  • The Cluster is required to report to members annually on its income and expenditure.  The Cluster operates in a calendar year for the purpose of its financial accounting.
  • The Management Committee is elected by the members at Annual General Meetings.  Any voting member can be a member of the Committee.
